October 15th Farmers Market Schedule

Soup season is officially here.  One of the many rituals my grandparents kept from their home countries and passed down was soup. Nearly every dinner of my childhood, no matter the season, started with a bowl of soup.  For several weeks my ritual has been to come home from the market and warm up with a bowl of homemade soup. This ritual has allowed me to taste pretty much everything from Bien Cuit, so I can report that any loaf or bun from Bien Cuit is the perfect accompaniment to the soup of your choice.  If you have more apples than you know what to do with, and are looking to try a new soup recipe be sure to check out Nancy Duran's weekly recipe

The TaSH Farmers Market takes place at Patriots Park on Saturdays from 8:30am to 2:00pm in Westchester, NY! Park for free at Paulding School.

Soup season is officially here.  One of the many rituals my grandparents kept from their home countries and passed down was soup. Chocolate is always in season and Luxx Chocolat will be featuring their new fall collections of artisan chocolate, Hot Choxx artisan hot chocolate on a straw, CocoStar marshmallows and SKULLS! Luxxelles Ice Cream Sandwiches for pre-order only. Luxx Chocolat only uses fresh local and organic ingredients, never any preservatives or additives. Treat yourself to something sweet this weekend.

Also bringing in some fall specialties this week is Trotta Foods. Try the Pumpkin Ravioli, the Butternut Ravioli and the Sweet Potato Gnocchi for a quick and delicious weeknight meal.

Do you know about Nimbus? No, I am not talking about the broom Harry Potter was gifted in the third book. I'm talking about Nimbus the triple cream cheese from Chaseholm Farm Creamery. I highly recommend this magical cheese. If you need a little boost in the afternoon try spreading a little Nimbus on a wedge of a crisp apple from Mead Orchards

Corbett's Cookie Bar Kitchen is back at the TaSH this week! Be sure to get one of their delicious bars...they won't be back until November.

Be sure to stop by our rotating vendors this week: Corbett's Cookie Bar Kitchen, Fable: Farm to Table, Hudson River Apiaries, Kontoulis Family Olive Oil, Luxx Chocolat, North Winds Lavender Farm, The Misshapened Bowl, Tousey Winery, and White Pike Whiskey.

Good luck at the Scarecrow making contest! And don't miss your opportunity to make a hula hoop with the Sleepy Hollow Witches at 11:00 am!

See you at the TaSH!
