H A P P Y   O C T O B E R !!!
Fall is fully underway at the TaSH and the produce and events are booming!

It's PEAK apple season so many of our farms are bringing a variety of apples you can't find elsewhere. Check out the delicious new crops of squashes including favorites such as butternut, delicata, kabocha and honeynut! Not sure how to use them? Ask the farmers for recipe ideas!

This week we have gluten-free goodies from Deliciously Alicia's, decadent ice-cream Luxxelles sandwiches from Luxx Chocolate and aromatic treats from Energii Candle returning! (We love their "Farmer's Market" candle!) For a full list of everyone joining us, check out our market map!

Saturday marks your LAST CHANCE to visit Blooming Hill farm for the season. Starting next week (Oct. 14), we'll be adding Meadowland Farm, co-led by Tarrytown native MaryKate Chillemi. She and her team will be bringing farm-fresh produce to the TaSH on a rotating basis through the end of the season.

This weekend also marks ENVIRO DAY at the TaSH, led by the Tarrytown Economic Advisory Council (TEAC). Swing by to learn about Healthy Landscaping, Complete/Safe Streets, Recycling, Composting, Solar and Alternative Energy, Walk-to-School-Month, Kayaking in the Villages, Trail Connections, Energy Efficient Homes, and more. Bring the whole family to check out an E-bike and enjoy Solar Popped Popcorn! They'll be at the market all day.

HELP PHELPS HELP PUERTO RICO! Thanks to Phelps Hospital, the TaSH is serving as a drop-off location this weekend from 9-1PM for urgently needed supplies to help those impacted by recent hurricanes in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands. A full list of accepted donations can be found here

Lastly, don't miss your chance to contribute to our ANNUAL SHOPPER SURVEY! Upon completion of the survey, you'll also have a chance to win a PRIZE if you enter your email! We'll select FIVE winners at random to receive a TaSH treat this fall.

Green Tree Textile Recycling is at the TaSH each week! Green Tree was founded to recycle unwanted textiles material including clothing, shoes, accessories and household linens that would otherwise end up in our already overburdened landfills. Green Tree's recycling services support people, who are in disadvantage and those in transition. Green Tree strives to preserve the environment by repurposing clothing and textiles for re-use by environmentally minded manufacturers and designers.
