FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
In Westchester County, it’s estimated that nearly one in five residents are food insecure - meaning they lack reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. The TaSH Farmers Market is pleased to be able to offer a variety of food assistance programs to the local community. We are especially grateful to the generosity of many local organizations that have supported these programs through grants including:
The Miles Hodsdon Vernon Foundation, Inc.,
The Jacob and Eugenie Bucky Memorial Foundation, Inc.
Kids Club of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow
Rotary Club of the Tarrytowns
Farm Credit East
The Westchester Community Foundation

SHHS Food Pantry Partnership
We’ve Teamed up with the SHHS Food Pantry to Bring Fresh Food to our Community
Started in Spring 2022, at the end of our market days, many of our vendors generously donate excess goods to the pantry. In 2023, 3,645lbs of food was generously donated to the SHHS Food Pantry from TaSH vendors equaling 3,037 meals.
As of Fall 2022, the pantry had grown to serve about 80 families per week. With nearly half of all district families eligible for free and reduced-price school lunches, we are thrilled to extend access to the delicious bounty from The TaSH.
