The Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market is Homegrown...
It all started because a small group of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow residents believed our community was fertile ground for a vibrant and bountiful market and weekly community event. We envisioned a Village Green that would enrich our community, where neighbors would join neighbors each week to shop, swap news, learn, play, eat, and enjoy music and the arts. With the support and contributions of countless volunteers, individual donations, community grants, and sponsors, The TaSH was born in 2015.
The TaSH is hosted by Rivertowns Village Green, Inc. a 501(c)3 organization founded to improve access to fresh, locally produced, high quality food for the full socioeconomic spectrum of the community. RVG is dedicated to educating the community about healthy food, nutrition, sustainable agriculture and the environment; and enhancing access to cultural activities.

The first season of the TaSH opens on Memorial Day weekend in 2015!
The new, revamped farmers market hosts around two dozen vendors in its first year, attracting a wide audience from the local community.
Ahead of the 2016 season, the TaSH deepens its educational mission by hosting its first TaSH Talk, a panel and Q&A discussion with local farmers.
Due to increased market popularity and recognition, the TaSH doubles its number of vendors and expands its educational programs in 2016.
The TaSH joins a national movement to recognize farmers and farmers markets by celebrating "National Farmers Market Week."
In December 2016, the TaSH held its first holiday pop-up market at the annual Tarrytown Tree Lighting Festival.
The TaSH is invited to participate in a panel called "Know Your Farmer AND Your Farmer's Market" at Bedford2020's Food Forum in March 2017.
The TaSH gets ready for the 2017 season by visiting local events such as the Rotary Duck Derby and Taste of Sleepy Hollow in early spring.
The TaSH expands with 50+ vendors for the 2017 season, wider sampling and new educational programs dedicated to helping kids taste, see, discover and experience local, farm-fresh food.
"What's in Season" is launched - a free, bilingual weekly educational and experiential kids' activity
We launch our first TaSH loyalty program with rewards cards on Opening Day 2017.
The TaSH is recognized as a "Best of Westchester" by Westchester Magazine.
The TaSH dresses up in farmer's market-themed costumes to join Westchester's biggest Halloween Parade in Tarrytown.
Our first annual Thanksgiving Dessert contest takes place on Closing Day in November 2017.
