This year, The TaSH Farmers Market celebrated its 10th season, marking a decade of community, fresh produce, and local craftsmanship. This milestone not only highlights our commitment to supporting local farmers and artisans but also reinforces our vision for the future.
Now, we’re focused on the next 10 years. Our plan is to strengthen the relationship between our farmers and our schools, incorporate more sustainable practices, and enhance community engagement to create a more vibrant hub for healthy living and local culture. Here’s what you can expect:
Farm to School
We’re excited to bring fresh, locally sourced, high-quality food from the market to our community through a partnership with the Tarrytown Union-Free School District. Collaborating with Sleepy Hollow Chef Rene Leon, The TaSH provided beautifully crafted and nutritious small plates for families to enjoy at the 2024 Back to School Bash. This is just a sneak peak of what’s yet to come.
Partnering with Connor McGinn to Feed the Community
Each month, families can enjoy a delicious brunch featuring seasonal produce and staples from The TaSH at TUFSD’s Horsemen Family Saturdays.

To help fund this initiative, we’ve partnered with local master ceramicist Connor McGinn, who will create one-of-a-kind bowls at The TaSH this fall. Proceeds from these sales will help fund the community breakfasts at the Horsemen Family Saturdays and additional shared food events at the Tarrytown Union-Free School District. This is inspired by Empty Bowls, an international grassroots effort to raise money and awareness in the fight to end hunger.
Find Connor creating these beautiful, limited-edition works of art at The TaSH on September 28th, October 19th and November 9th, 2024. They will be for sale at The TaSH on October 19th and November 9th.
Stewards of the Environment
We recognize our responsibility to minimize our environmental footprint. We will continue to reduce our footprint in Patriots Park, and are committed to educating, incentivizing, and supporting community members in making environmentally-conscious choices.
Community Celebrations
We’ll continue to seek out and foster opportunities to celebrate our diverse and vibrant community—providing a place “to swap news, learn, play, eat, and enjoy music and the arts.”
Building on our December Holiday Market tradition, this year, we’re partnering with the Tarrytown Union-Free School District to provide community meals at the Back to School Bash in Patriots Park.
